This piece is from the Nocturnal series (Itatiaca landscapes) that Mira Schendel made between 1978 and 1982. In these canvases the artist created lightly textured compositions with dark tones. The curve line suggests the Itatiaia's mountains in a bi tonal surface populated with gold-leaf letters and number mysteriously floating on the top.
